The Yellowstone River Parks Association was gifted Joel’s Pond in 2015 by the Joel Long Family.
Lying behind Scheels Sports at Shiloh Crossing, the property consists of 17.697 acres, 12 acres of which are the pond. We understand it has a great self-sustaining bass population. There is also a fifteen foot trail easement from Shiloh Road along the BBWA canal that connects with the YRPA property.
Part of the pond on the north and east is privately owned. Our goal is to develop a relationship with those owners to provide more opportunity to the Billings community.
In the short term we need volunteers and financial resources to develop trails, landscaping, and structures.
