In 1999 Yellowstone River Parks Association made an agreement with the Bureau of Land Management and the Montana Land Reliance to help support the Four Dances Natural Area. Four Dances lies on top of the Rims south of Billings. Four Dances boasts peregrine falcon nesting sites, prairie environments, and the occassional rock wren. The BLM management plan calls for a limited number of developed trails. YRPA built a shelter for BLM’s seasonal caretaker to park an RV.
