Yellowstone River Parks Association
Supporting parks and trails along the Yellowstone River
Since 1991, Yellowstone River Parks Association has worked to support access and use along the Yellowstone River by improving parks and trails. From our early work to build trails at Norm’s Island, our impact has grown to include 2,000 acres of natural park space in Yellowstone County, visited by hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
Go With the Flow:
A Tribute to YRPA
Throughout Billings are displayed 18 custom-made kites from kite artists around North America, all part of a kite exhibit in honor of YRPA. To see a map of locations and more information about the kites and artists, visit our Kite Exhibit page.
Explore
The Yellowstone is the longest free-flowing river in the lower 48 states. The mission of YRPA is to support access and use of the beautiful Yellowstone River Greenway by improving parks and trails. We either own or help to manage more than 2,000 acres of natural park land in and near Billings, Montana.
Volunteer
The only way this work gets done is when people get involved. Our volunteers put in more than 8,000 collective hours of effort each year, from cutting and maintaining trails to leading nature walks to pulling invasive weeds to planting trees to community outreach. Join us!
Support
We are so grateful to our community of supporters. As a YRPA is a private, non-profit organization, we depend on private donations to support our work. In addition to one-time individual donations, we also encourage gifts of stock, IRA distributions, legacy-oriented gifts to our endowment, and inclusion of our organization in your estate planning.
